Otey Lumpkin, CPA
Otey joined the firm in 1990 to lead the accounting and auditing practice. He is responsible for quality control, technical matters and human resource development in this practice group. He has significant client responsibility providing for their accounting, auditing and financial consulting needs.
Additionally, Otey has provided counsel to other accounting firms on technical issues and he conducts peer reviews of other accounting firms.
Otey specializes in accounting, auditing and emerging business issues. Prior to joining the firm he spent 19 years with a major national accounting firm where he was partner in charge of both the auditing and general business services departments. He was responsible for client service, engagement management, recruiting and training personnel and resolving technical issues.
Otey is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University and is active in several professional, civic and social organizations.
