Bill Duke, CPA/CMPE/CEBS
William C. Duke, CPA/CMPE/CEBS joined Howard & Co., LLP in September, 2004. He is a certified public accountant with more than twenty years of experience in public and private industry, and serves clients primarily in the areas of healthcare and small, closely-held, business services.
Mr. Duke attained the designation of Certified Medical Practice Executive, awarded by the American College of Medical Practice Executives and the designation of Certified Employee Benefits Specialist, awarded by the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Duke holds a Master of Business Administration from The University of Tulsa, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from The University of Oklahoma. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Medical Group Management Association.
Mr. Duke's public accounting experience includes tax, audit and management advisory services. Mr. Duke's private industry experience includes serving as Vice President of Benefits/Accounting for a large, national banking center in Texas and as Chief Financial Officer for a large, Dallas based managed healthcare company in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. Also, Mr. Duke presided as President and Chief Executive Officer for a medical group/regional diagnostic laboratory that served over 1,000 clients including physicians, clinics, ambulatory surgical centers and hospitals.
Mr. Duke's service to community includes serving on boards or committees of the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, Habitat for Humanity, and East Texas Community Ministries/Food Banks.
